Let's get you
back in the air.
Quick answers about flying, iPhone steps and the energy you earn along the way.
Your first flight
- Drag to move. Your main guns fire automatically and never run out.
- Collect P. Twin shots give you more room to work with.
- Tap Pulse. Clear incoming bullets and damage enemies. Save it for a tight spot.
- Take on the Sentinel. Each flight lasts up to 60 seconds. Retry whenever you like.
Your walks count
Extra energy.
No expiry date.
iPhone steps earn walking energy for Pulse. Every 10 energy gives you one Pulse, with up to three carried into a personal flight. Unused energy returns after a flight.
Walking energy—including amounts below 10—stays until you use it. Rest days are welcome.
A few useful answers
How do I connect my steps?
Open Walk in the app and tap Connect iPhone steps. Allow Motion & Fitness when iOS asks. Carry your iPhone while you walk, then tap Refresh steps. System counts can take time to update.
Why do my steps differ from Apple Health or my watch?
Walk to Shoot reads this iPhone's Core Motion step count. It does not import Apple Health or combine Apple Watch totals. Steps taken without the phone may not appear.
Can I play without motion permission?
Yes. Main guns remain unlimited. Standard challenge includes one fixed Pulse and does not spend your walking energy. Personal play also includes a basic daily energy allowance.
How much energy do steps earn?
The first 6,000 steps in a day earn one energy per 200 steps. The next 4,000 earn one per 400, and the next 2,000 earn one per 800: up to 42 walking energy per day. Energy is granted in whole units. Repeated refreshes do not award the same steps twice.
What resets each day?
Only the 10-point basic daily allowance resets. Walking energy and stored amounts below one Pulse never expire. Settlement uses the time zone saved when you first installed the app.
What if steps do not refresh?
Check Motion & Fitness access in iOS Settings and try again later. Existing energy is kept when a query fails. Up to seven days of available history can be refreshed; older steps that were never read cannot be recovered.
Can I restore progress after reinstalling or changing phones?
This version saves progress only on this iPhone and excludes that save from cloud backup. Reinstalling may remove earned energy and local scores. Cross-device transfer and automatic recovery are not available.
How do feedback and data deletion work?
Gameplay sharing is optional and off by default. Ratings are voluntary and contain no steps. In connected builds, Settings provides retry and server-data deletion controls. Feedback waits on your phone until the service confirms receipt. Older previews without a service connection keep feedback locally. Deleting server data keeps your walking energy.
Can I choose a different flight pattern?
The current test version uses the default flight pattern. Future gameplay tests may offer consenting players a different pattern. All patterns share the same controls and energy rules.
